State Panel Picks DLR Group to Design Milton School Project

DLR Group will design Milton's state-aided school, and Gile Road will be studied for PreK/K however the Labouré vote goes.
- The pick: Milton holds three of about 10 votes on the panel, which backed DLR over Arrowstreet strongly but not unanimously, the School Committee heard Oct 28. DLR also did the quick Labouré study.
- PreK/K: the School Committee and Select Board have asked the state in writing to add a PreK/K study. If voters approve buying Labouré Dec 15, both sites will be studied for PreK/K, grades 7-8 and K-5.
- Next: DLR has started work and the town is drawing up contracts. The School Building Committee meets Nov 2.
