Health Board Condemns Former Knights of Columbus Hall and House

Both buildings at the former Knights of Columbus on Thacher St are condemned, giving the owners a year to decide their future.
- Condition: on Sept 14 a town building inspector found the hall missing most of its siding and open to the weather. He called the house generally sound and secured. The health department first ordered repairs in December 2020.
- Owners: their lawyer told the board that repairs were made in June and July and rodent inspections are monthly. Redevelopment plans are being revised after the Planning Board objected to the number of units, he said.
- Next: the owners have a year to decide whether to take the buildings down or bring new plans, Health Director Caroline Kinsella told their lawyer.
