Milton Approved 9 New Houses in the Past Year, and the Priciest Isn't the Biggest
Townwide · Trend · Oct 29, 2026
Of the 9 new houses Milton approved this past year, the priciest is just over half the size of the biggest.
- Count: 9 houses got a building permit from Oct 25, 2025 to Oct 24, 2026, the same number as the 12 months before. Each house is counted once, even where a permit was reissued.
- Cost: the building cost declared on the permits runs from $450,000 for a new house on an old foundation on Hillside St to $920,000 on Spafford Rd. The median is $720,000, down from $950,000 a year earlier. Land is not included.
- Biggest: the Old Farm Rd house, with seven bedrooms and 8,434 sq ft of living space on a 0.92-acre lot, is declared at $720,000, exactly the median. The second biggest, 7,620 sq ft on Brush Hill Rd, is declared at $593,000.
- Priciest: $920,000 on Spafford Rd buys five bedrooms and 4,457 sq ft, just over half the size of the biggest, on a 0.46-acre lot. Next come $840,000 off Randolph Ave, with a three-car garage on 2.28 acres, and $800,000 on Canton Ave, with four bedrooms on 1.74 acres.
- Not counted yet: a $1.18M house filed on Hillside St in September has no permit yet. The town has asked for more information.
- How we counted: building permits the town files as New Dwelling or New Dwelling (Replacement), by the date they were issued. Living area comes from the energy-rating (HERS) reports filed with the permits, lot sizes from MassGIS parcel data and, off Randolph Ave, the stamped site plan.
